Q: Our Company?
A: Louise herself is a fashion designer graduate, after experience in the bridal industry, Louise Lontano Bridal opened in 2002. Taken from a family name, Lontano is Italian by name, Italian by flair and Italian by design. Our name is not only our trade mark but our brand. A brand that recognises style, elegance and the importance of customer service.
Q: What are the pros of buying in a bridal shop vs. buying online?
A: Direct contact with knowledgeable staff and consultants to give you help and answers to all questions. We highly recommend that you try on your wedding dress, buying online does not let you do this. With increases in fake dress production it's so important you know exact the quality you're buying and that it is authentic in design, all our designer don't not allow on line selling, there fore a dress bought online may not be authentic.
Q: When is the best time to start looking?
A: It is best to start looking 6-12 months ahead of the wedding. The majority of brides begin shopping 1 to 2 year's ahead, allowing time to narrow down your selection. If you don't have this time there are a number of ways we can help you.
Q: Who should I bring to my appointment?
A: Deciding who to take with you when you are shopping for a wedding dress is important too. Whoever you invite ensure they are trustworthy and that you value their opinion and they are someone who will enjoy the experience without becoming bored or impatient. Inviting a large group can become very tricky, the more the people the more personal options, and likely to confuse you. We recommend 2 to 3 people. Remember it is about how you look and feel in the dress, alternatively if you want to look for your dress alone, go for it we will help you make the right decisions!
Q: What happens if the gown style I set my heart on does not suit?
A: We normally ask the bride to try on a style that we think would be more flattering, the difference can be remarkable, and the other dress will be soon forgotten.
Q: What physical considerations should brides keep in mind, in terms of weight, etc.?
A: If you intend to change weight, set yourself realistic goals, make sure you inform us of this at the time of order so we can discuss the size of dress ordered.
Q: How long does it take to order a gown?
A: It can take anywhere from 4 months to 9 months, rush orders are available.
Q: What are your shop policies?
A: "By appointment only" is highly recommended to ensure you will get all the time and attention you need from one of our bridal consultants. A deposit with order - final balances to be paid once your gown arrives at the shop. Our terms and conditions will be available for you to read when ordering.
Q: If I am just passing by can I come in for a look even though I have no appointment?
A: You can always come by for a browse during a weekday, however, if we are attending to a customer you may not be able to try on the gowns. To try them on we do advise an appointment. Please call 01467 624920 to arrange your appointment.
